Battlestar’s CROSSROADS V2.0 Produced and created by CaptMel and Battlestar – May 2001 Enhanced by Battlestar using Final Alert V0.98 Alpha 4 Temperate Theatre Dusk Setting /w Crimson Red Lightning Storm Size is 100 x 100 Special Effects included. Map Info: I downloaded CaptMel’s “Crossroads” in May, after it was posted on RADEN, and really enjoyed the map. After I finished playing it, I e-mailed CaptMel, and asked him if I could “play around” with the Map, and this is the result. I do enjoy having a good template to work with. And this is a very good template. One of the very first maps I created was call “Crossroads”, although I never actually posted this one. (Flat map, and is used as one of my test maps) I started by changing the level of the map, adding in cliffs and high bridges, then I removed the Allied walls surrounding each base, and replaced them with tree barriers, which makes it difficult to bypass, but allows the player to extend the size of the base also. I reduced the ore, and placed the Derricks on the centre island. Each Base still has an airport though, but getting to the derricks won’t be easy. And one base is disadvantaged by the GI Troops nearby. But other players will no doubt run into them as well ? I reset the lighting level to a Dusk setting, and the Superweapons react accordingly. You’ll see ? And a few messages popup here and there as well. Overall, it’s a cool Map too play. It was before, just I’ve enhanced it ? Thank you CaptMel for permission to redo the Map, RVMECH, CANNIS, TheMatze, and dat pesky LION … No more pizzas (we run out of dough) Heheh. Just kidding Lion ?
